Coaching that takes the whole woman seriously

I'm Lucy Russell — executive coach and leadership facilitator.I work with women navigating complexity at senior level, and with entrepreneurs building something they can genuinely stand behind.My work draws on leadership psychology, emotional intelligence and — where it serves — somatic awareness.Sometimes the most important information isn't in what a client thinks, but in what their body is already signalling. I pay attention to both.This sits alongside a clear-eyed belief that the systems many of us are operating in were not designed for us to thrive in.That is not a reason to shrink. It is the starting point for a different kind of leadership.

HOW I WORK

Reflective, rigorous and commercially real

At senior level, leadership challenges are rarely about capability. They are about clarity, authority and judgement — and often, about what is being carried beneath the surface that hasn't yet been named. My role is to work with all of it, so that the shifts made in a coaching session actually hold when you're back in the room.

01 — Emotional intelligence, applied practically
Not as a concept — but as a lived tool for decision-making, presence and stakeholder dynamics. Understanding what is driving behaviour, including your own, is one of the most commercially useful skills a senior leader can develop.

02 — Leadership identity and authority
Who you are as a leader — not who you have been told to be. Strengthening your presence, your decision-making voice, and your ability to hold authority without over-responsibility.

03 — Body awareness as useful information
Alongside cognitive and emotional intelligence, I draw on somatic awareness where it serves the work. The tightness before a difficult conversation, the chronic over-functioning — these are worth paying attention to, not overriding.

04 — Values-led decisions under pressure
Clarity about what you actually stand for — enacted under real pressure, not written on a wall. This is what creates leadership that is sustainable, credible and genuinely yours.

03 — Speaking
Talks and facilitated sessions for events and conferences — on leadership, liberation and what it means to define success on your own terms. Available in person and virtually, internationally. Enquire about speaking availability and fees.

I am a white western woman living and working in relative safety and privilege.I say that not as a disclaimer — but because naming where I stand is part of the work I ask everyone around me to do. Including myself.Like many of you, I feel enraged by the state of the world. The kind of rage that comes from witnessing systems cause harm on a scale that often feels impossible to meet.What I have come to believe is that we are not separate. We are all connected — and our liberation is collective. Mine is deeply bound to yours, and to the liberation of other women we will never meet, whose lives are also impacted by broken systems.Rage, metabolised and directed, is one of the most powerful forces for change there is.A portion of my revenue is donated to three organisations: PCRF, MADRE, and Womankind Worldwide.
